After my apprenticeship I continued to study trade related courses at TAFE. I married at the age of 24. I suffered a serious back injury a few years later in a boxing gym. An event that ended up having a profound affect on my life. I again turned to TAFE to re-educate myself and undertook a diploma in marketing.

Soon after my daughter came into our world, that still is the greatest single event in my life. The euphoria of that event was not long lasting. Realising that my life was taking a similar path to that of my parents and after unsuccessful attempts to change I left my wife and daughter.

While working as a sales representative for a earthmoving company I started my own marketing business. As a result I met a commercial fisherman with an invention related to fishing and boating. Soon after I left my sales job and focused on developing and marketing the product.

I've been living my dream ever since. I worked as a commercial fisherman to supplement my income. I started to fish professional fishing tournaments to the product. That lead to an opportunity to design, import and sell fishing rods to the tackle industry. I still use the skills I learnt in my trade all those years ago. I now design and market a range of fishing related products and love every aspect of my career.
