My brother, sister and I were born and raised in New Zealand. When I was 7, my mum and dad divorced. Mum wanted to start a fresh new life for us in Australia, and of course dad didn't want us to move countries. Mum and dad went through a vicious custody battle for 12 months, it was an extremely confusing and emotional time. Mum won and we moved to Australia when I was 10. We moved to Sydney for a year with my uncle and his family, there were 10 of us in the house. After a year, it got too much, so mum moved to Brisbane. It was a difficult time in my life, moving countries, moving schools twice and getting bullied because of my height and accent. I became very closed and timid.
